Every knee injury is different and unique and every person that suffers a knee injury is different and unique. However, one common trend with almost every injury is a decrease in the strength of the muscles in the injured area.

3 traditional physical therapy knee rehabilitation exercises are the quad set, the short arc quad, and the straight leg raise.
The quad set is done to re-activate the quadriceps muscle on the front of the thigh.
The short arc quad is done to improve terminal extension strength.
The straight leg raise is performed to work on knee stability and quadriceps activation throughout the hips range of motion.
